Exploring El Darb El Ahmar Street
- At the heart of Cairo, explore El Darb El Ahamar Street, filled with stunning Islamic monuments like mosques, palaces, houses, mausoleums, collage, one of Cairo gates, and part of ancient Cairo walls which protect the city against invading armies.
El Azhar Park & Bab Zuweila
- The tour starts at El Azhar Park, where you'll take a golf cart ride to Bab Zuweila, Cairo's southern gate dating back to 1092 AD.
Historic Mosques Along the Route
- From there, we'll visit the El Saleh Tala’i Mosque (1160 AD) and the Qijmas Ishaqi Mosque (also known as the Abu Hariba Mosque, built in 1482 AD and featured on the 50 Egyptian pound note).
Continued Exploration by Golf Cart
- Continuing by golf cart, we’ll explore the Ahmed El Mehmendar Mosque (1324 AD) and the El Altinbugha al-Maridani Mosque (1340 AD).
Bayt Al-Razzaz Palace
- Next, we'll visit the Bayt Al-Razzaz Palace, an ancient house built between the late 15th and 18th centuries
Aqsunqur (Blue) Mosque
- followed by the Aqsunqur Mosque (Cairo Blue Mosque), constructed in 1347 AD.
Final Visit & Cultural Presentation
- Throughout the day, we'll visit many more historical sites, culminating with a short video presentation at the El Azhar Park showroom.
Lunch & Return to Hotel
- Afterward, enjoy lunch at a high-quality local restaurant before returning to your hotel for an overnight stay in Cairo.
